I’m back! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here but with a mixture of wedding planning, getting married, my honeymoon and family matters I had to take some time out. So, with that said, I’m back writing again and want to share with you a trip I went on in the late Summer to Hotel Thérèse in Paris. It was bliss and the perfect getaway for a newly married young woman!
Hotel Thérèse is nestled away in a quiet spot a few streets away from Palais Royal. When I look for somewhere to stay one of the top things I look for is location and Hotel Thérèse delivers exactly that. It’s situated on an incredibly Parisian street surrounded by beautiful French architecture and small patisseries.
I recently headed to Paris for an exciting 48-hour city break. You may remember that I went for a whirlwind day trip last February where Zoe and I shot a lot of content in about nine hours; it was a fantastic day but we definitely came away utterly exhausted. This year was slightly different though because I’d be invited along for a complimentary weekend stay by Hotel Eiffel Blomet. The first few months of this year have been incredibly busy so a weekend away to recharge was just what I needed.
As you lovely lot enjoyed my post from my last trip so much I thought I’d put together part two of my Paris Instagram Guide showing you where I stayed and all the new locations I shot in.
I’m going to start out by saying that this isn’t my typical travel post, in that I went to Madrid for the weekend but I didn’t do my usual sightseeing city break. So, why did I go here and not do much sightseeing? Well, to spend time with my lovely friends from University. The weekend was all about being with my girls and spending time with one in particular who moved to this lovely Spanish city a few years ago. The weekend was all about catching up, The Royal Wedding and drinking pale rosé on rooftop bars overlooking the city. Oh, and eating a lot of tapas! It was bliss.
Whilst, I only got to spend 48 hours here I did go to some amazing places which I thought I’d share with you. Enjoy!
My trip was in part inspired by (dare I say it) Instagram and the thought of eating yummy Italian food for two weeks. Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to visit this wonderful country on several occasions and the beautiful images on social media really drew me to the Amalfi Coast. It was idyllic; everything I dreamed it would be and more.
Rather than making this travel guide an essay I thought I’d give you a little snapshot of my two weeks away and the places that I really loved. From the colourful houses in Positano to the Sapphire blue waters in Capri, all the important bits are in here for you to have a look at. Enjoy!
Ah Paris, my favourite French city…
It’s one of those places that has endless photo ops, from picturesque views and vintage markets to quirky street cafes and grandiose architecture. I’ve been in love for years. After seeing a steal of a deal on eurostar.com (£29 each way) shooting some content for the blog and my social channels was a no-brainer. Because I have a full-time job I wasn’t able to take too much time off work so Zoe (@zoegriffinphoto) and I decided to tackle Paris in a day; it was ambitious but completely doable!
I thought I’d dedicate this blog post to getting the perfect Instagram shot, to finding that incredible location to get that Parisian street style snap. Enjoy…
