I’m going to start out by saying that this isn’t my typical travel post, in that I went to Madrid for the weekend but I didn’t do my usual sightseeing city break. So, why did I go here and not do much sightseeing? Well, to spend time with my lovely friends from University. The weekend was all about being with my girls and spending time with one in particular who moved to this lovely Spanish city a few years ago. The weekend was all about catching up, The Royal Wedding and drinking pale rosé on rooftop bars overlooking the city. Oh, and eating a lot of tapas! It was bliss.
Whilst, I only got to spend 48 hours here I did go to some amazing places which I thought I’d share with you. Enjoy!
My trip was in part inspired by (dare I say it) Instagram and the thought of eating yummy Italian food for two weeks. Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to visit this wonderful country on several occasions and the beautiful images on social media really drew me to the Amalfi Coast. It was idyllic; everything I dreamed it would be and more.
Rather than making this travel guide an essay I thought I’d give you a little snapshot of my two weeks away and the places that I really loved. From the colourful houses in Positano to the Sapphire blue waters in Capri, all the important bits are in here for you to have a look at. Enjoy!
Ah Paris, my favourite French city…
It’s one of those places that has endless photo ops, from picturesque views and vintage markets to quirky street cafes and grandiose architecture. I’ve been in love for years. After seeing a steal of a deal on eurostar.com (£29 each way) shooting some content for the blog and my social channels was a no-brainer. Because I have a full-time job I wasn’t able to take too much time off work so Zoe (@zoegriffinphoto) and I decided to tackle Paris in a day; it was ambitious but completely doable!
I thought I’d dedicate this blog post to getting the perfect Instagram shot, to finding that incredible location to get that Parisian street style snap. Enjoy…
Brighton is a British seaside gem and surprisingly it was the first time i’d ever visited! It combines all those things which are loved about a seaside staycation, lovely beach, striped deck chairs, fish and chips and an iconic pier. I definitely didn’t veer off the beaten track this time round, but for the 48 hours I was there I saw all the key places. Here are my highlights…
