You read that right, 5 minutes and with the right products it can be done! I often have morning’s where i’m strapped for time, pressing my snooze button over and over. With a busy, time poor week it’s sometimes hard to look polished in a hurry. Because of this I have a quick and easy make up solution for early morning’s or before I head out for dinner after work, doing my make up at my desk. Establishing a solid daily routine is the key to maintaining a healthy complexion. Whilst many of us take our make up off at night and pop on a moisturiser before bed, we also don’t invest enough time in our skin before we head out for the day. Everyone’s skin is different so it’s important to find a routine that works for you. If you read my Sensitive Skincare Saviours post in the Summer you’ll know that i’ve experienced many highs and lows trying to find products that don’t irritate my skin. Here is morning routine which takes 10 minutes!View Post
I was lucky enough to be invited for a morning blow dry by the lovely ladies of Blo Bar in Chiswick – a one stop destination for all things hair and beauty, my kind of place! The well established salon specialises in delivering the ultimate luxury experience to relax and revive and it certainly did just that. From travelling in New York where blow dry bars are super popular it seems London has got involved too. This spot however is not just a blow dry bar, it’s a little different. Choose from a large menu of waxes, brow and hair treatments, spray tans and luxurious mani, pedi’s to name a few. It really is a west London gem.View Post
I’m forever banging on about the benefits of wearing an SPF. Since i’ve worked for a beauty brand i’ve learnt so much about how the sun affects the skin, even when it’s not sunny. It’s apparent that many people feel that they don’t need to wear a suncream because it’s dark and dismal in England most of the time – wrong! Wearing an SPF on a daily basis will help to prevent facial brown spots and skin pigmentation whatever the weather. It’ll also reduce the appearance of ‘spider’ veins, blotchiness and will slow down premature ageing – yes, wrinkles! So, here are some of my favourite SPF moisturisers that can be worn everyday, all day which are also ideal for sensitive skin.
From working in the beauty industry i’ve learnt so much about how sleep effects the skin. As we age, even one night of insufficient sleep shows on the skin. For me this comes in many forms from, redness, dark circles and dull skin. During the deepest stage of sleep, the tissue in your skin repairs. Without enough deep sleep, this repair process slows down resulting in premature ageing. The term “beauty sleep” is certainly more than a figure of speech!View Post
