I’m back! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here but with a mixture of wedding planning, getting married, my honeymoon and family matters I had to take some time out. So, with that said, I’m back writing again and want to share with you a trip I went on in the late Summer to Hotel Thérèse in Paris. It was bliss and the perfect getaway for a newly married young woman!
Hotel Thérèse is nestled away in a quiet spot a few streets away from Palais Royal. When I look for somewhere to stay one of the top things I look for is location and Hotel Thérèse delivers exactly that. It’s situated on an incredibly Parisian street surrounded by beautiful French architecture and small patisseries.
On entering I was met by their friendly staff and was immediately surrounded by beautiful French interiors, cosy corners and tonal hues. I was lucky enough to stay in one of their Executive rooms which was beyond stunning. Spacious, bright and overlooking the Paris rooftops it made for an incredible stay. The bed was huge, the bathroom Instagrammable and a walk-in wardrobe the size of my bedroom back in London!
Breakfast each morning was on the lower floors in a beautiful vaulted room and the food was fantastically French. Pain au Chocolat, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea. You name it they had it and was the perfect energy booster in the morning.
Each day we visited different spots, Palais Royal was one of them. A bustling garden surrounded by cafes around a water fountain adjacent to the well-known monochrome Buren columns.
Next, we visited Versailles 30 minutes on the outskirts of Paris. The gardens were fantastic and if it wasn’t for the 2-hour queue outside to get into the palace I would’ve gone in. This is a must see!
Our final evening was spent at 43 Up On the Roof a somewhat hidden in the 6th arrondissement with a bottle of rosé. It boasts a spectacular 360-degree view of the Paris skyline as far as the eye can see. Perched on the 9th floor of the Holiday Inn Paris Notre Dame it’s the perfect spot for a sunset drink.
I don’t need to tell you, Paris is incredible and to be quite honest I’d happily live there…maybe one day. Thanks to the team at Hotel Thérèse it was another fantastic city break and a city I’ll visit again and again.
