The Beauty Diaries: Vol. 2

Welcome back to my second installment of The Beauty Diaries talking about some of my product highlights over the last month. This month’s focus is all about the products which have helped boost my dehydrated sensitive skin. Ranging from masks to oils, each product delivers amazing results.

Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask

I’ve really got into masking over the last year. It’s a nighttime ritual that I’ve incorporated into my routine whilst drinking my night time Camomile tea and watching Netflix in my dressing gown. Being someone who lives in the city my skin gets clogged, angry and eventually breaks out…unless I keep on top of it! Alya Skin were incredibly kind and sent me their Pink Clay Mask to try. The concept was interesting because it claimed to detox, brighten and strengthen whilst also being kind to sensitive skin. Did it work? Hell yes! I must say I was surprised as my skin doesn’t tend to agree with powerful products like this.

So, you want the details. Well, after the first use my skin was noticeably brighter and my pores weren’t so visible, especially on my nose and chin. After another few uses over the next two weeks, my skin was super glowy. The base ingredient, Kaolin clay removes toxins, London city pollutants and general nasties from your skin and in turn stimulates the regeneration of skin cells. Tah dah!

The brand ethos was also important to me as it’s cruelty-free and Vegan. Whilst I’m not Vegan I finding myself drawn to plant-based products more and more. This mask is now firmly planted in my weekly skincare routine because to be quite frank, it just works!

Ren Skincare Evercalm™ Global Protection Day Cream

Invariably, I wake up with irritated red skin and after cleansing in the morning this cream has helped to alleviate my skin redness and sensitivity. It’s formulated with incredible ingredients such as Omega 3 and Omega 7 that help to combat skin inflammation. After only a few uses I felt that my skin was nourished, calm and protected.

Löwengrip Hyrdating Mask

The lovely team at Löwengrip sent me this hydrating mask back in May. Knowing that I was someone who was constantly in search of products to hydrate my skin they picked the perfect product. It’s formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, just one gram has the ability to hold up to six liters of water!

The nourishing face mask is great if you’re a traveller, rehydrate the skin post-flight and soothing morning skin irritation. Now that I’m in my early thirties, I am aware that my skin needs a lot more TLC than it did ten years ago. This bottle delivers on its promise to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and repair environmental skin damage. Oh and that’s not all. If you’re sensitive like me then this will be your perfect partner to deliver hydrated skin come morning for a radiant, dewy glow.

I’m someone who is always after glowy skin so I was extremely excited when the team at Madara sent me the Facial Oil. With 9 superseed oils this radiance-boosting product delivers a youthful glow. Made with a multitude of antioxidants such as Blueberry, Cloudberry, Cranberry seed oils it absorbs into the skin quickly to boost skin cell turn over and hydration.

Featured in my latest YouTube video, this was a holiday savior post-sun hydrating my skin each evening after being in the sunshine. I also found that it gave my skin an extra glow when I mixed it in with my foundation. This product is an absolute dream.
