Wedding season is now well underway and if you’ve not already, it’s now time to think about the perfect outfit to fit the occasion. I’m excited to be attending a couple this year, but with each celebration begs the question, but what do I wear? Whilst I’m well known for being a dress hoarder; I’d happily buy a new one for each one, it’s important not to splash the cash when I don’t need to. That’s why I’ve pulled together six of my favourite dresses to not only wear to all the weddings you’re attending this year but throughout the Summer too! And what’s more, they’re all under £100.
The styles I’ve chosen fit my wedding guest criteria; colourful, girlie, below the knee and versatile. So, whether you’re planning on heading to a wedding this Summer and want to look on point scan through these as I’m sure they’ll be something that fits the bill.
Channelling Pretty in Pink this Topshop midi dress is right up my street. Midi hem, check; cute sleeve, check; lovely details, check. The list goes on. This dress is all about the ruching and texture so accessorising this pastel piece should be kept to a minimum. Pair with a small clutch or mini top handle bag with block heels to complete the look.
In the market for something with a little more drama and a sexy twist? Then here’s your answer courtesy of ASOS. The deep blue hue is perfect for an all-day event powering you on through until dawn. Style this maxi with sky-high heels and a pendant necklace for party perfection.
This has serious Isabel Marant vibes, right? I am so tempted to buy it! This one’s for the girl going for the more bohemian look with stunning detailed lace inserts and a deep v cut at the back. Style this number with a raffia bag and strappy block heels to finish off the look.
I do love something sheer, it’s sultry and understated. This Topshop maxi would work well on its own or styled under a structured jacket. Just add a bold lip to complete the look.
You may have noticed that I’ve got a new found obsession for Mango this season, they’re just hitting the style notes every time. If you’re after pretty print, look no further. Pair yours with block heels or ankle booties as it’s sure to be a show stopper.
And finally the lace dress. I mean how could I create a wedding guest dress blog post and not include this? The scarlet Chi Chi London midi is an homage to my favourite brand, Self Portrait. Can’t drop £300? Neither can I. This is the ultimate dupe at a third of the price.
There you have it, my wedding guest dress post including six styles under £100.
