How To Style Summer’s Hottest Shoe

It’s no secret that I’m rubbish at walking in heels. My walking is that terrible that even one of my friends likened me to a baby giraffe learning to walk! So, in light of this, it’s safe to say that wearing sky-high heels is a rare occurrence. Now, just because six-inch stilettos are a no-go it doesn’t mean I have to stick to flats all Summer long. Cue the kitten heel fresh in from the New Arrivals section at Wallis. They’re chic, they’re smart and they’re this Summer’s hottest shoe. Here’s why…

Last year, Instagram was awash with this monochrome print, it was the 2017 blogger uniform if you like. This year, I wanted to continue incorporating this pretty pattern into my looks by opting for a subtle injection of Gingham. Part of the pointed mules’ appeal is its chic silhouette; it lengthens my legs, adds a little height and at the same time I can last in them from day to night.

So, now you know why I love them, but now you’re probably wanting to know, how do I style them?  That bit is easy. In this look, I’ve paired them with this Mango belted linen dress. The A-Line midi length is balanced out by the point of the shoe making them perfect partners. This is the kind of look I’d wear in the day to the office and then add a pop of lip colour before heading out for drinks in the evening. If you feel like something a little more casual, style these mules with a pair of black skinny jeans and a Broderie Anglaise top and shades.

This Summer elevate a low-key look with a pair of these monochrome beauties, they’re guaranteed to keep your feet happy all day long leaving you looking sleek and polished.
