What To Wear Now: March 2018

Now that we’re heading into Spring, dare I say it, London is warming up! Of course, it’s only a balmy 7 degrees, but that’s a vast improvement from earlier in the year. Ok, enough about the weather! Bored of dressing in jeans, it’s now time for me to rock a dress. The midi and maxi lengths are something I’m loving at the moment, in the right cut they’re incredibly feminine and for my shape, figure flattering. I was on the hunt for the perfect dress which had all the right ingredients for Spring city chic. So, here is what I went for…

The Dress

Throw on and go is my vibe, it’s not often that I faff over a look, I like easy dressing and this outfit delivers exactly that! Rather than sticking to a minimal fabric, I fancied a statement print so I opted for the Praire Babydoll Midi Dress from Topshop. Made from layers of wispy light blue material, it’s patterned all over with white floral details, and cut in a flattering asymmetric shape. It’s easy, slightly bohemian and has the cutest bow tie detail at the neck for lady-like elegance. For me, this is the perfect transitional dress choice. All I need now is a simple addition of kitten heels to complete the look.

The Boots

This boot shape is the ‘it’ shoe of the season, combining two hot trends – white and the kitten heel. On a sleek pointed-toe, this pair of New Look boots sits just above the ankle meaning that it doesn’t cut-off the leg. They’re not just sharp and modern but super comfy too, I wear them all day in the office and they’re still going strong when I head out for dinner in the evening. If there’s one pair of shoes you need to invest in this season, it’s a pair of these.

To finish off my look, just sling a heavy duty jacket over your shoulders, in this case, my go-to aviator jacket from Zara. Happy Weekend!
