It’s kind of crazy to think that we’re already in mid-February! The blog had to take a bit of a back seat in January as I was working long hours during the week with my full-time job so I was too tired to write content for the blog in the evening. I felt that I only had time to consistently post on my Instagram feed and make my weekly YouTube video. Writing on here is really enjoyable, so I vow to post more often going forward.
So, I’m bringing back the monthly ‘What To Wear Now’ posts, it’s something that I’m going to continue to do every month showing new ways to style looks which are both functional and style focused. I’ve found that I’ve been living in jeans for most of this year and I was getting pretty bored with the same old day-to-day look. This is why I decided to go for a dress, knit and boot combo to mix things up a little.
I’ve been told that cobalt blue is a great colour if you’re blonde so I thought I’d give it a go. As you know I’m a slave to knitwear so it only made sense for me to get it in this vibrant colour. Putting a spin on everyday wardrobe staples, Scandinavian brand, Y.A.S. has gotten this cable knit so right! Made in a bold blue, this chunky roll neck is the perfect piece to keep you cosy during the Winter months. I’ve styled mine over a wowzy dress to complete the look!
Block colours work well with a hint of a print so I opted for the Pimkie Galaxy Shirt Dress to layer underneath the Y.A.S roll neck. The lightweight material means that it’s perfect for wearing over heavier Winter pieces and the pointy collar and buttons cuffs mean that it will work perfectly as a standalone piece if you need to strip off a layer halfway through the day.
My accessories are investment pieces which work with everything in my wardrobe. The Chloe Susanna boots have beautiful antiqued metallic studs toughened up with bold buckles on the ankle. Paired with my Saint Laurent tote the black accessories help to complete my go-to February look.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and find the combination a great Winter alternative to jeans.
