During stressful periods, small pimples crop up on my chin and occasionally I get a whopper that just won’t disappear. It’s common for excess oil to build up, on the skin, clogging pores leading to unwanted friends on my face! This is why cleansing is incorporated into my daily routine. Whilst I rotate a couple of cleansers throughout the year depending on how my skin is, I rely on Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish to gently exfoliate my skin, sweeping away dead skin cells and excess oil to reveal clearer, smoother skin.
More often than not my skin is red when I wake up in the morning. To combat this I apply a thin layer of This Works’ stress check face mask for ten minutes whilst I brush my teeth and pick my outfit for the day. It immediately cools and calms with the aid of Peppermint Extract, Camomile, and Patchouli. It’s lightweight so it doesn’t feel heavy and ‘cloggy’ on the skin. When I wash it off my skin feels restored, hydrated and looks calmer – magic in a bottle!
For times when my skin is feeling itchy and irritated I use MALIN + GOETZ’s Vitamin E Face Moisturiser which gently hydrates whilst also restoring the skin’s ph balance. The powerful ingredient to credit is Vitamin E and its sidekick Camomile that intensely nourish and combat any itchiness. This is one of my go-to moisturisers to apply in the morning before I put on my make up.
