Looking for a coat that’ll last season after season? You need to invest in a camel coat. Why? It’s a classic colour that’s wearable all year round; chic and minimal, mid-length or floor-length it’s an easy way to pull together a workwear look. I certainly don’t have the budget to splurge out on a MaxMara ‘Madame’ Cashmere blend number so I turned to the high street where they’ve got outerwear bang on! I’ve pulled out some of my favourite high street pieces, showing you how i’d style them.
Styling a camel coat is simple, I opt for maximum comfort, so a snuggly jumper, sharp tailored trousers and a pair of transitional shoes with a pop of colour will complete the look. Here are some of the pieces that i’m loving right now.
Cooler days mean cozying up in a chunky knit jumper, it’s a winter wardrobe staple that can be cycled into numerous looks throughout the year. I like to layer up in a white jumper, it’s the perfect hue for daytime. A relaxed silhouette means it’s ideal for layering under a coat or over a shirt – maximum versatility.
Finding pieces that are both figure flattering and contemporary aren’t always straightforward. Look sharp and leave your denim skinny jeans at home and opt for modern tailoring. A slim cut, high-waisted trouser offers simplicity, flattering the waist and elongating the legs. Here are a few of my highlights.
The best way to elevate a simple look is to add a pop of colour. Choose a transitional slider in mustard, their bold colour make them a stand-out pair to wear with any Autumn ensemble.
