My Weekend Style

My weekends are often busy, whether it’s meeting up with friends/bloggers, brunching or exploring new places. Because of this I put a huge emphasis on comfort and practicality when choosing off-duty looks, leaving the heels at home and popping on a pair of my favourite trainers. Just because it’s September doesn’t mean you have to pack away all of your summer clothing, i’ve kept aside a few of my heavier cotton pieces which will be oh-so useful in the coming weeks. Whilst I can’t wait to layer up in heavy knitwear it’s still a little too early, here are some transitional pieces for low-key weekend dressing…

The Dress

An impeccably cut knee length dress is a key piece to wear in late summer. The high street has an array of options from fit and flare to drop waist. If it does get a little cooler in the evening just pop a leather jacket over the top. Here are some of my highlights including the light blue Broderie Anglaise H&M dress which i’ve worn over and over this summer.

The Bag

Hands-free means no hassle so investing in a crossbody bag is a must. Check out this Chloe dupe from Shein and the gorgeous ‘GG’ bag from Gucci, they are the perfect size for all of your weekend essentials.

The Shoe

Being out and about all day is hard on the feet so wearing a comfortable pair of shoes is essential. My Stan Smith’s are my go-to weekend trainer, they can be paired with dresses, skirts or even a tailored trouser – so easy! Here i’ve picked a couple of white options, they look sleek and will work with pretty much anything you wear. My personal highlight is the Golden Goose’s, they’re gorgeous, I really need to invest in a pair!
